0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES

0012|     DEPARTMENT TO PROVIDE NECESSARY CHILD CARE SERVICES.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION--CHILD CARE.--Three million
    |
0016|     dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to
    |
0017|     the children, youth and families department for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1998 for the purpose of providing child care to
    |
0019|     income-eligible families and individuals and to increase
    |
0020|     reimbursement rates for quality child care providers.  Any
    |
0021|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0022|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
