0013|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CUARTOCENTENNIAL COMMEMORATIVE

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board
    |
0019|     of regents of the university of New Mexico for the center for
    |
0020|     regional studies at the university of New Mexico for
    |
0021|     expenditure in fiscal years 1998 and 1999 for the purpose of
    |
0022|     planning, initiating and partially implementing an
    |
0023|     informational and educational cuartocentennial commemoration,
    |
0024|     to celebrate the four hundredth anniversary of the founding of
    |
0025|     New Mexico through historical and educational presentations. 
    |
0001|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0002|     fiscal year 1999 shall revert to the general fund.
