0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DRINKING WATER STATE REVOLVING
    |
0012|     LOAN FUND FOR DRINKING WATER SYSTEM FINANCING; DECLARING AN
    |
0013|     EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Pursuant to Section 6-21-6.1
    |
0017|     NMSA 1978, two million six hundred thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($2,600,000) is appropriated from the public project revolving
    |
0019|     fund to the drinking water state revolving loan fund for
    |
0020|     expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 to carry out the
    |
0021|     purposes of the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund Act. 
    |
0022|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1998 shall not revert to the general fund.
    |
0024|          Section 2.  CONTINGENT EFFECTIVE DATE.--The provisions of
    |
0025|     this act are contingent upon the enactment of a bill passed by
    |
0001|     the first session of the forty-third legislature and signed
    |
0002|     into law enacting the Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund
    |
0003|     Act and establishing the drinking water state revolving loan
    |
0004|     fund.
    |
0005|          Section 3.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0006|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
