0011|     RELATING TO CAPITAL EXPENDITURES; EXTENDING THE EXPENDITURE

0012|     PERIOD OF A STATE ROAD FUND APPROPRIATION TO CIBOLA COUNTY;

0013|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  STATE ROAD FUND--EXTENDING EXPENDITURE PERIOD-
    |
0017|     -APPROPRIATION.--The period of time for expenditure of a state
    |
0018|     road fund appropriation made pursuant to Subsection B of
    |
0019|     Section 48 of Chapter 148 of Laws 1994 to design and construct
    |
0020|     a highway from state road 117 to the observatory site in Cibola
    |
0021|     county, contingent on the state receiving a United States
    |
0022|     department of defense award of not less than twelve million
    |
0023|     dollars ($12,000,000) for development of an astronomy-oriented
    |
0024|     science center in New Mexico shall be extended through fiscal
    |
0025|     year 2000.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at
    |
0001|     the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
    |
0002|          Section 2.  EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0003|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
