0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE MODEL TRAINING PROGRAM

0012|     FOR WELFARE RECIPIENTS.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty-five
    |
0016|     thousand dollars ($355,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0017|     fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0018|     year 1998 for the purpose of establishing a community- and
    |
0019|     values-based statewide training program for welfare recipients
    |
0020|     that addresses regional job availability, support services,
    |
0021|     individual assessment, skills training and placement.  Any
    |
0022|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the general fund.
