0011| MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CRIME PREVENTION THROUGH

0012| ENVIRONMENTAL DESIGN PROJECTS IN STATE HOUSE DISTRICT 11 IN

0013| BERNALILLO COUNTY.

0015| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016| Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand
|
0017| dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
|
0018| local government division of the department of finance and
|
0019| administration for expenditure in fiscal year 1998 for the
|
0020| purpose of initiating crime prevention through environmental
|
0021| design projects for state house district 11 neighborhoods
|
0022| located in Bernalillo county. These projects include designing
|
0023| for increased visibility, controlled street access, open park
|
0024| land, lighting and other improvements that help to reduce crime
|
0025| and vandalism. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance
|
0001| remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert to the
|
0002| general fund.
