  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
       1.  On page 2, line 6, strike "The" and insert in lieu thereof
  "Effective between July 1, 1997 and June 30, 2000, the".
  
       2.  On page 2, line 6, strike "front".
  
       3.  On page 2, line 6, after "weight" insert "or total vehicle
  weight".
  
       4.  On page 2, line 7, strike "eighteen" and insert in lieu
  thereof "ten".
  
       5.  On page 2, line 8, strike "the front axle of".,
  
  and thence referred to the TAXATION AND REVENUE
  COMMITTEE.
