0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A RURAL FIRE DISTRICT DRY HYDRANT

0012|     PILOT PROJECT IN TAOS COUNTY.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand
    |
0016|     dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0017|     office of the state fire marshal for expenditure in fiscal year
    |
0018|     1998 for a pilot project that uses dry fire hydrants in rural
    |
0019|     fire districts; provided that the pilot project shall be
    |
0020|     conducted in Taos county.  Any unexpended or unencumbered
    |
0021|     balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998 shall revert
    |
0022|     to the general fund.
