0011|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR TELEVISION EQUIPMENT REPLACEMENT AT

0012|     CERTAIN NEW MEXICO INSTITUTIONS OF HIGHER EDUCATION; DECLARING

0013|     AN EMERGENCY.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|          Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred ten thousand
    |
0017|     dollars ($410,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0018|     educational television equipment replacement fund for
    |
0019|     expenditure in fiscal years 1997 and 1998 for the purpose of
    |
0020|     replacing obsolete television equipment at the KNME-tv, KENW-tv
    |
0021|     and KRWG-tv educational television stations.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1998
    |
0023|     shall remain in the educational television equipment
    |
0024|     replacement fund as provided in Section 21-1-34 NMSA 1978.
    |
0025|          Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public
    |
0001|     peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
