0023| and propagation of game and fish, which money shall be paid
0024| over to the state treasurer to the credit of the game

0015| portion thereof to fishing when such action is necessary to

0009| (12) to conduct studies of programs for the
0010| management of endangered and nongame species of wildlife;
0011| [and]
0012| (13) to establish licenses, permits and
0013| certificates not otherwise provided for in Section 17-3-13 NMSA
0014| 1978 and to charge and collect just and reasonable fees for
0015| them; provided the fees shall not exceed the costs of
0016| administration associated with the licenses, permits or
0017| certificates; and
0018| (14) to regulate or prohibit the taking,
0019| killing or capturing of amphibians or reptiles in connection

0022| shall exercise all the powers and duties conferred upon the
0023| state game and fish warden by all previous statutes now in
0024| force not in conflict with Chapter 17 NMSA 1978.
0025| C. The state game commission shall have authority
0001| to prohibit all hunting in periods of extreme forest fire
0002| danger at such times and places as may be necessary to reduce
0003| the danger of destructive forest fires.
0004| D. The hunting, pursuing, capturing, killing or
0005| wounding of any game animals, birds or fish in or upon any game
0006| refuge, rest ground or closed water or closed area or during
0007| any closed season established or proclaimed by the state game
0008| commission in accordance with the authority conferred in
0009| Chapter 17 NMSA 1978 constitutes a misdemeanor and shall be
0010| punishable as prescribed in Chapter 17 NMSA 1978."
