0012|     REQUESTING THE STATE HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT TO

0013|     STUDY, EVALUATE AND MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO

0014|     COUNTY ROADS 7650 AND 7870.

0016|       WHEREAS, county road 7650 in San Juan county is in need of
    |
0017|     improvement in view of its use, location and extent; and 
    |
0018|       WHEREAS, county road 7870 in San Juan county is in need of
    |
0019|     improvement in view of its use, location and extent; and
    |
0020|       WHEREAS, county roads 7650 and 7870 in San Juan county are
    |
0021|     in need of study and evaluation for improvements to the existing
    |
0022|     dirt roads in the areas of increased drainage, installing
    |
0023|     culverts, application of road base and additional safety
    |
0024|     features; and    
    |
0025|       WHEREAS, the state highway and transportation department is
    |
0001|     well-advised and able to study and investigate county roads 7650
    |
0002|     and 7870 and determine and make recommendations as to needed or
    |
0003|     advisable improvements to these county roads; and
    |
0004|       WHEREAS, the nature and extent of improvements to county
    |
0005|     roads 7650 and 7870 will best be determined after review,
    |
0006|     investigation and study by the state highway and transportation
    |
0007|     department;      
    |
0008|       NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE
    |
0009|     STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the state highway and transportation
    |
0010|     department be requested to study, evaluate and make
    |
0011|     determinations and recommendations regarding improvements to
    |
0012|     county roads 7650 and 7870 in San Juan county and report its
    |
0013|     findings and conclusions to the first session of the forty-third
    |
0014|     legislature; and
    |
0015|       BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be
    |
0016|     transmitted to the state highway and transportation department.
