APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars | 0020| ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of | 0021| the governor for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose | 0022| of retaining private counsel to advise, represent and pursue | 0023| litigation on behalf of the state, counties and municipalities | 0024| concerning their rights and powers to assert jurisdiction, | 0025| sovereignty, ownership and authority over public lands that may | 0001| be improperly under the control of the federal government.
