0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of
    |
0019|     regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in
    |
0020|     fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of coordinating, compiling and
    |
0021|     implementing a water quality information system by the New
    |
0022|     Mexico engineering research institute.  Any unexpended or
    |
0023|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0024|     shall revert to the general fund.
