0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH AN ALTERNATIVE FUELS

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars
    |
0017|     ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state
    |
0018|     highway and transportation department for expenditure in fiscal
    |
0019|     year 1997 for the purpose of establishing an alternative fuels
    |
0020|     initiative at the alliance for transportation research.  Any
    |
0021|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0022|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
