0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ENERGY, MINERALS AND NATURAL

0013|     RESOURCES DEPARTMENT TO ASSIST LOW-INCOME INDIVIDUALS TO

0014|     CONSERVE ENERGY THROUGH HOME WEATHERIZATION.

0016|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0017|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred
    |
0018|     thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0019|     fund to the energy, minerals and natural resources department
    |
0020|     for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of
    |
0021|     weatherizing homes for persons whose incomes are at or below one
    |
0022|     hundred twenty-five percent of the federal income poverty level. 
    |
0023|     Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0024|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
