0012|     MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FOR REGIONAL WATER PLANNING.

0014|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0015|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--One million three hundred
    |
0016|     thousand dollars ($1,300,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0017|     fund to the interstate stream commission for expenditure in
    |
0018|     fiscal year 1997 for the purpose of funding regional water
    |
0019|     planning efforts, pursuant to Sections 72-14-43 and 72-14-44
    |
0020|     NMSA 1978.  No more than seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000)
    |
0021|     of this appropriation may be used for administrative costs.  Any
    |
0022|     unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of
    |
0023|     fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
