0012|     MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO PROVIDE OR

0013|     CONTRACT FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES SERVICES.

0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
    |
0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATIONS.--
    |
0017|            A.  Five million one hundred ten thousand dollars
    |
0018|     ($5,110,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the
    |
0019|     department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 to
    |
0020|     provide or contract for developmental disabilities programs and
    |
0021|     services as follows:
    |
0022|                 (1)  four million one hundred thousand dollars
    |
0023|     ($4,100,000) for increased reimbursement rates for community
    |
0024|     services providers, as required by Section 28-16A-16 NMSA 1978;
    |
0025|                 (2)  five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to
    |
0001|     provide staff development for community service provider program
    |
0002|     staff;
    |
0003|                 (3)  two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to
    |
0004|     provide comprehensive support for families of individuals with
    |
0005|     multiply diagnosed conditions; and
    |
0006|                 (4)  three hundred ten thousand dollars
    |
0007|     ($310,000) to provide civil rights liability insurance coverage
    |
0008|     for nonprofit service providers for the developmentally disabled
    |
0009|     and for nonprofit intermediate care facilities for the mentally
    |
0010|     retarded.
    |
0011|            B.  Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining
    |
0012|     at the end of fiscal year 1997 shall revert to the general fund.
