0015|     BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

0016|       Section 1.  APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred twenty-five
    |
0017|     thousand dollars ($625,000) is appropriated from the general
    |
0018|     fund to the governing board of the Albuquerque technical-vocational institute for expenditure in fiscal year 1997 for the
    |

0019|     purpose of funding the Albuquerque technical-vocational
    |
0020|     institute center for advanced technology training in the city of
    |
0021|     Albuquerque located in Bernalillo county.  Any unexpended or
    |
0022|     unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 1997
    |
0023|     shall revert to the general fund.

0018|       1.  On page 1, line 22, after "county." insert "The

0019|   appropriation shall be matched by at least six hundred twenty-five
    |
0020|   thousand dollars ($625,000) from other sources, including private
    |
0021|   sector contributions, grants, contracts, fees from training
    |
0022|   services and funds from Albuquerque technical-vocational
    |
0023|   institute's current operating budget.  The center is envisioned as
    |
0024|   a partnership between Albuquerque technical-vocational institute
    |
0025|   and participating employers and a resource to assist other New
    |
0001|   Mexico community colleges in work force development.".,
    |

0003|   and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE
    |
