     Your GOVERNMENT AND URBAN AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to
  whom has been referred
  
                          HOUSE BILL 5
                                 
  has had it under consideration and reports same with
  recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
  
     1.  On page 3, strike lines 9 through 11 and insert in lieu
  thereof:
  
          "During fiscal year 1997, the legislative finance
  committee audit staff shall conduct a thorough analysis of the fiscal
  operations and personnel procedures of the New Mexico state fair and
  report its findings and recommendations to the legislative finance
  committee.".,
  
  and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE 
  COMMITTEE.
