AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR THE CREATION OF A SUICIDE INTERVENTION TRAINING PROGRAM AT SANTA FE COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($375,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal years 2025 and 2026 for Santa Fe community college to create and staff a program to provide evidence-based, peer-to-peer suicide intervention training throughout New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2026 shall revert to the general fund.
