A MEMORIAL
DECLARING FEBRUARY 28, 2023 "NEW MEXICO CRUSADERS FOR JUSTICE DAY" IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.
WHEREAS, the New Mexico crusaders for justice was founded in May 2021 to help families through the tragedy of losing a loved one to violence; and
WHEREAS, the New Mexico crusaders for justice honors victims of violence and the families of these victims by providing a safe space for family members to come together for positive change to their communities; and
WHEREAS, the New Mexico crusaders for justice has supported more than nine hundred families throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, the New Mexico crusaders for justice currently has chapters located in Albuquerque, Ruidoso, Farmington and Las Vegas to support all families of victims of violence in the state; and
WHEREAS, the New Mexico crusaders for justice sponsors and hosts support group meetings, activities and celebrations for communities in the state; and
WHEREAS, the New Mexico crusaders for justice continues to honor and support victims of violence and the families of these victims; and
WHEREAS, the New Mexico crusaders for justice is currently nominated for the federal bureau of investigation director's community leadership award that honors individuals and organizations for extraordinary contribution to the prevention of crime and violence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that February 28, 2023 be designated as "New Mexico Crusaders for Justice Day" in the house of representatives.
