AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE DEPARTMENT TO REDUCE RATES OF ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million one hundred forty thousand dollars ($1,140,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the early childhood education and care department for expenditure in fiscal years 2024 through 2027 to facilitate coordination among providers and improve access to and expand the capacity of existing support services for families in Dona Ana county to reduce rates of adverse childhood experiences. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2027 shall revert to the general fund.
