AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY FOR PAYMENT OF DIGITAL TRUNKED RADIO COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM SUBSCRIBER FEES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six million five hundred thousand dollars ($6,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of information technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 to fund the payment of subscriber fees for the digital trunked radio communications system for municipal, county and tribal public safety agencies that provide law enforcement, fire, medical or other emergency services. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the general fund.
