AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR A STATEWIDE CHILE MARKETING AND PROMOTIONAL PROGRAM.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 for the college of agricultural, consumer and environmental sciences to conduct a statewide chile marketing and promotional program in collaboration with a statewide association that represents the growers, processors, manufacturers and others involved in New Mexico's chile industry. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the general fund.
