AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE NEW MEXICO INSTITUTE OF MINING AND TECHNOLOGY FOR THE BUREAU OF GEOLOGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES FOR THE WATER LEADERS WORKSHOP.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the New Mexico institute of mining and technology for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 for the bureau of geology and mineral resources' annual water leaders workshop. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the general fund.
