AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO SUPPORT SCHOOL-BASED HEALTH CENTERS IN COMMUNITIES IMPACTED BY THE HERMITS PEAK/CALF CANYON FIRE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 to support school-based health centers in communities impacted by the Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon fire. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the general fund.
