Your HEALTH AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE BILL 232
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 2, after line 25, insert the following new paragraph:
"(2) be permitted to extend the credentialing period to assess and issue a determination by an additional fifteen calendar days, if upon review of a complete application, it is determined that the circumstance presented, including an admission of sanctions by the state licensing board, investigation or felony conviction, revocation of clinical privileges or denial of insurance coverage, requires additional consideration;".
2. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.
3. On page 3, line 13, after "thirty", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 14 up to the comma and insert in lieu thereof "calendar days as described in Paragraph (1) of this subsection or an additional fifteen days as described in Paragraph (2) of this subsection".
4. On page 4, line 6, strike "(2)" and insert in lieu thereof "(3)".
5. On page 4, line 24, after "(1)", insert "or (2)".
6. On page 5, line 2, strike "(3)" and insert in lieu thereof "(4)".
7. On page 7, between lines 15 and 16, insert the following new paragraph:
"(2) be permitted to extend the credentialing period to assess and issue a determination by an additional fifteen calendar days, if upon review of a complete application, it is determined that the circumstance presented, including an admission of sanctions by the state licensing board, investigation or felony conviction, revocation of clinical privileges or denial of insurance coverage, requires additional consideration;".

10. On page 8, line 21, strike "(2)" and insert in lieu thereof "(3)".
11. On page 9, line 14, after "(1)", insert "or (2)".
12. On page 9, line 17, strike "(3)" and insert in lieu thereof "(4)".
13. On page 12, between lines 5 and 6, insert the following new paragraph:

17. On page 14, line 4, after "(1)", insert "or (2)".
18. On page 14, line 7, strike "(3)" and insert in lieu thereof "(4)".
19. On page 16, between lines 13 and 14, insert the following new paragraph:
"(2) be permitted to extend the credentialing period to assess and issue a determination by an additional fifteen calendar days, if upon review of a complete application, it is determined that the circumstance presented, including an admission of sanctions by the state licensing board, investigation or felony conviction, revocation of clinical privileges or denial of insurance coverage, requires additional consideration;".
20. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.
21. On page 17, line 1, after "thirty", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 2 through the comma and insert in lieu thereof "calendar days as described in Paragraph (1) of this subsection or an additional fifteen days as described in Paragraph (2) of this subsection".
22. On page 17, line 20, strike "(2)" and insert in lieu thereof "(3)".
23. On page 18, line 14, after "(1)", insert "or (2)".
24. On page 18, line 17, strike "(3)" and insert in lieu thereof "(4)".,
and thence referred to the TAX, BUSINESS AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE.
