AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE

UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO FUND PROJECT ECHO PROGRAMS THAT IMPROVE EDUCATION AND HEALTH IN UNDERSERVED AREAS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six million dollars ($6,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal years 2024 and 2025 to support project ECHO programs that improve education and health in underserved areas. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2025 shall revert to the general fund.
