Mr. Speaker:
Your HEALTH & HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILL 107, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. Strike Item 1 of Senate Floor Amendment number 1.
2. On page 1, line 12, after "PETITION", insert "AND PROVIDING NOTICE".
3. On page 1, line 13, strike the semicolon and strike lines 14 and 15 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof a period.
4. On page 3, line 2, after the period, insert the following:
"F. When the department files a petition, it shall simultaneously provide to the office of family representation and advocacy, and if a child is an Indian child, to the child's Indian nation, tribe or pueblo:
(1) the petition;
(2) the name, telephone numbers and addresses of each respondent; and
(3) the names, dates of birth and placement information for each child who is a subject of the petition, including:
(a) the type of placement; and
(b) the name, telephone number and address for the person or entity that holds the license for each child's placement.
G.".
5. On page 5, line 1, strike "six months" and insert in lieu thereof "one year".
6. On pages 5 through 9, strike Section 3 in its entirety.,
and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
