SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE JUDICIARY COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILL 107

Amendment sponsored by Senator Cliff R. Pirtle

    1. On page 1, line 14, after "HEARINGS", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 15 through "EMERGENCY".

    2. On page 5, line 3, after the first occurrence of "department", strike the remainder of the line, strike line 4 through "manager" and insert in lieu thereof "review is conducted".

    3. On page 5, line 5, strike "reviews" and insert in lieu thereof "to review" and strike "determines" and insert in lieu thereof "determine".

    4. On page 5, line 8, after the period, insert "The department's review shall be conducted by a person above the level of supervisor who has been authorized by the secretary of children, youth and families to review such cases. If the secretary has not authorized anyone to review such cases, the department's review shall be conducted by the director of the protective services division of the department.".

    5. On page 9, strike lines 12 and 13 in their entirety.
