AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT FOR REMOVING SOLID WASTE, LIQUID WASTE AND HAZARDOUS WASTE FROM THE COMMON LANDS OF COMMUNITY LAND GRANTS ORGANIZED UNDER STATE LAW.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million dollars ($1,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of environment for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 to contract for the removal of solid waste, liquid waste and hazardous waste illegally deposited on the common lands of community land grants organized under state law. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the general fund.
