AN ACT

RELATING TO COURTS; WAIVING THE COURT FEES TO FILE A MOTION FOR UNPAID CHILD SUPPORT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. [NEW MATERIAL] COURT FEES FOR UNPAID CHILD SUPPORT--WAIVER.--A person who files a motion in court for unpaid child support shall not pay the court fees associated with filing the motion.

     SECTION 2. APPLICABILITY.--The provisions of this act apply to cases filed on or after the effective date of this act.

     SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.--The effective date of the provisions of this act is July 1, 2023.
