HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE LABOR, VETERANS' AND MILITARY AFFAIRS COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 345

    1. On page 1, line 15, strike "; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION".

    2. On page 1, line 24, after the second occurrence of "fund", insert "is subject to appropriation by the legislature and".

    3. On page 2, line 3, after the paragraph designation "(1)", strike the remainder of the line, strike all of line 4 and on line 5, strike up to the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof "a one-time five-thousand-dollar ($5,000) recruitment disbursement for entry-level firefighters starting employment with a fire department for the first time".

    4. On page 2, line 11, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof the following:

", including:

             (1) a schedule for recruitment disbursement; and

             (2) clawback or recapture rules that ensure the repayment of recruitment disbursement funds that are proportional to that portion of the three-year commitment that has not been completed.".
