HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE BILL 336, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Representative Meredith A. Dixon

    1. On page 1, line 13, after the semicolon, insert "EXEMPTING CERTAIN RECORDS FROM THE INSPECTION OF PUBLIC RECORDS ACT;".

    2. On page 1, line 20, strike "department of information technology" and insert in lieu thereof "New Mexico institute of mining and technology's institute for complex additive systems analysis".

    3. On page 2, line 9, after "data", insert "or cybersecurity and data privacy".

    4. On page 2, line 13, after "data", insert "or cybersecurity and data privacy".

    5. On page 2, line 15, after the paragraph designation "(5)", strike the remainder of the line and strike line 16 up to the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof "one member who is an expert in public safety and criminal justice data systems in New Mexico, appointed by the executive director of the New Mexico sentencing commission".

    6. On page 3, strike lines 22 and 23 in their entirety.

    7. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    8. On page 4, line 11, after "shall", insert "establish a data-sharing framework with".

    9. On page 4, line 12, strike "establish".

    10. On page 4, line 15, strike "recommend".

    11. On page 5, line 3, after "management", insert "policies and governance structures to facilitate the broad but responsible sharing of data between agencies in New Mexico. The data integration advisory committee shall present the report, recommendations and statewide data management procedures".

    12. On page 5, between lines 4 and 5, insert the following new subsection:

         "J. Except for a summary or report produced by the data integration advisory committee pursuant to this section, any record obtained or held by the data integration advisory committee for the purpose of conducting the statewide study required by this section shall be exempt from inspection pursuant to the Inspection of Public Records Act.".

    13. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
