AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO FUND THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER'S CEREBRAL CAVERNOUS ANGIOMA INITIATIVE.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2024 to fund the university of New Mexico health sciences center's cerebral cavernous angioma initiative that provides outreach and genetic testing to Hispanic communities in New Mexico that are at greater risk for developing cerebral cavernous angiomas. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2024 shall revert to the general fund.
