    Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 9, as amended

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. Strike Item 2 of House Floor Amendment number 1.

    2. On page 2, line 22, after "was", insert "either".

    3. On page 2, line 23, strike "either".

 

    4. On page 3, lines 8 through 15, strike Subsections D and E in their entirety.

 

    5. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

    6. On page 3, between lines 16 and 17, insert the following new paragraph:

 

             "(1) "brandish" means to display or make a firearm known to another person while the firearm is present on the person of the minor with intent to intimidate or injure a person;".

    7. Renumber the succeeding paragraphs accordingly.

    8. On page 3, line 19, strike "or the frame of any such weapon".

    9. On page 4, line 3, strike "an unemancipated" and insert in lieu thereof "a".

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
