AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FROM THE FUNDS ALLOCATED TO THE STATE PURSUANT TO THE FEDERAL AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN ACT OF 2021 TO THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE TO CONTINUE THE CHILE LABOR INCENTIVE PROGRAM.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two million two hundred thousand dollars ($2,200,000) is appropriated from the appropriation contingency fund, from funds allocated to the state pursuant to the federal American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 and transferred to the appropriation contingency fund during the second session of the fifty-fifth legislature, to the New Mexico department of agriculture for expenditure in fiscal years 2022 and 2023 to continue the chile labor incentive program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the appropriation contingency fund.
