AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE AGING AND LONG-TERM SERVICES DEPARTMENT TO ENGAGE IN A PILOT PROJECT CONSISTING OF COMMUNITY-BASED AND CULTURALLY APPROPRIATE OUTREACH CAMPAIGNS RELATED TO ALZHEIMER'S DISEASE AND OTHER FORMS OF DEMENTIA IN TRIBAL, RURAL AND UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES IN THE STATE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the Kiki Saavedra senior
dignity fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2023 to engage in a pilot project consisting of community-based and culturally appropriate outreach campaigns related to Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia in tribal, rural and underserved communities in the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the Kiki Saavedra senior dignity fund.
