AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE NEW MEXICO LIVESTOCK BOARD TO INITIATE AND MAINTAIN A SYSTEM OF MEAT INSPECTIONS OF MEAT FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million seven hundred thirteen thousand dollars ($1,713,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico livestock board for expenditure in fiscal year 2023 to initiate and maintain a system of meat inspections of meat for human consumption. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2023 shall revert to the general fund.
