AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION TO PLAN, CONSTRUCT AND EQUIP A PUBLIC SAFETY COMPLEX IN THE TOHATCHI CHAPTER OF THE NAVAJO NATION IN MCKINLEY COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five million nine hundred sixty thousand dollars ($5,960,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2022 to plan, including rights of way, easements and archaeological and environmental studies; construct, including abatement and demolition; and equip a public safety complex in the Tohatchi chapter of the Navajo Nation in McKinley county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2022 shall revert to the general fund.

     SECTION 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
