AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR A CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AT THE VALENCIA BRANCH CAMPUS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2021 for a career development program at the Valencia branch campus of the university of New Mexico to inform high school students of local career opportunities, develop career-based teaching strategies and create networking opportunities between students and local employers. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2021 shall revert to the general fund.
