    Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 183

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 12, strike "THE JOBS FOR AMERICA'S GRADUATES PROGRAM" and insert in lieu thereof "SCHOOL-TO-WORK TRANSITION PROGRAMS".

    2. On page 1, line 18, strike "the jobs for America's graduates program" and insert in lieu thereof:

"school-to-work transition programs that partner with local business and industry. The programs must serve at-risk, underserved and disadvantaged student populations, emphasizing graduation attainment and soft employment skills, and lead to post-secondary education and employment.".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
