AN ACT
RELATING TO OCCUPATIONS; CONFIRMING THAT A PERSON NOT LAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES IS ELIGIBLE FOR OCCUPATIONAL OR PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION FOR WHICH THAT PERSON IS QUALIFIED, UNLESS OTHERWISE PROVIDED BY LAW.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
SECTION 1. [NEW MATERIAL] OCCUPATIONAL OR PROFESSIONAL LICENSES AND CERTIFICATION--QUALIFICATION.--A person who is not lawfully present in the United States is eligible for occupational or professional licensure or certification for which that person is qualified, unless otherwise provided by law.
