Mr. President:
Your FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
HOUSE BILL 8, as amended
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 3, line 16, before the period, insert "nor influence or attempt to influence any action of an authority member".
2. On page 3, line 18, after the period, insert:
"An authority member shall post a surety bond for the faithful performance of the member's duties pursuant to the Surety Bond Act.".
3. On page 4, line 1, before the semicolon, insert "but does not have at the time of appointment and will not have during service as an authority member employment or a contract with an energy development business".
4. On page 4, lines 4 and 5, strike "abstain from an authority vote if the matter" and insert in lieu thereof "resign from the authority if a matter to be".
5. On page 16, line 18, after the period, insert:
"Revenue from a county electric generating facility economic district gross receipts tax shall not be used for any other purpose.".
