AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE FOR A COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS CONSORTIUM IN NORTHEASTERN NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred eight thousand dollars ($508,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the High Plains regional education cooperative for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 to develop and operate a college and career readiness consortium for middle and high school students in northeastern New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
