AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE PUBLIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT FOR SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ARTS AND MATHEMATICS PROGRAMMING FOR STUDENTS IN SOUTHWEST NEW MEXICO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million three hundred sixty-one thousand one hundred forty dollars ($1,361,140) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 for programs to provide real-world and hands-on training for students in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics in southwest New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
