AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE BOARD OF VETERINARY MEDICINE AND THE ANIMAL CARE AND FACILITY FUND.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

          A. Thirty-one thousand five hundred dollars ($31,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of veterinary medicine for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 for operating costs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.

          B. Five hundred ninety-eight thousand five hundred dollars ($598,500) is appropriated from the general fund to the animal care and facility fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 and subsequent fiscal years for the board of veterinary medicine to carry out the purposes of the Animal Sheltering Act. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
