AN ACT

MAKING APPROPRIATIONS TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR CANCER PREVENTION PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATIONS.--

          A. The following amounts are appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 and subsequent fiscal years for the following purposes:

                (1) one million one hundred thousand dollars ($1,100,000) to fund the core operational infrastructure of the New Mexico human papillomavirus pap registry; and

                (2) five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to establish a colorectal cancer screening information system.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
