AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three million dollars ($3,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 and subsequent fiscal years for the New Mexico department of agriculture to administer state funds to match federal dollars for programs and projects directly through soil and water conservation districts. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
