AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A COMPREHENSIVE WATERSHED SCIENCE CURRICULUM FOR PUBLIC ELEMENTARY SCHOOL LIBRARIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred sixty-two thousand dollars ($162,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2020 for a comprehensive watershed science curriculum that provides student workbooks and applied lessons for public elementary school libraries. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2020 shall revert to the general fund.
